What you have to understand about LED’s is that there is an element of colour within the white light itself. There are different shades of white which all contribute to the lights that you see and use, but not everyone knows about this. The type of bulb that is a lot like the ones we’re used to is a bulb which has a rating of 2700k. The K in this instance refers to Kelvin, which is a unit of measurement. Anyway, the 2700k bulbs produce a light closest to filament bulbs. The higher up the scale you go, the stronger each bulb gets. So you’d have 3000k, 4500k, and 6000k at the top of the scale. 

 

What Colour Do I Pick?

 

Of course, this does present an interesting question. What colour should you pick for your commercial property or premises? What kind of shade of light is best? To begin with, anywhere from 2000 to 3500k is a warm light, which is closest to the filament bulb. A natural white is anywhere between 4500 and 5000k. This will create the most organic looking light for your premises, which can be heavily desired by a lot of people. Alternatively, anything higher than that is the brightest kind of light possible. It’s quite crisp and almost futuristic, which makes it good for places which try and look as modern as possible, or organisations with buildings that are very white.

Obviously, there are different kinds of lighting options for different places, and how you choose to light up your premises will depend a lot on the kind of place you want to create. Each light will do different things to the eyes of your workers, so it’s important to consider how they’ll be affected in each instance. The natural light understandably proves to be quite popular, as it provides people with a sense of normality and helps to detract from the knowledge that they work in a building.
